KBD Dynamics Ltd are synonymous with race winning, scientifically designed performance crankshafts, for classic Aston Martin’s and Jaguars.  For the DB4 through to DBS/6 options include the “fast road” LD-15, full race LD-16 and the 4.7L LD-17.

One of the benefits of a KBD Crankshaft is the completely re designed rear end, removing the mechanical seal and eliminating oil leaks. The new design uses a modern lip seal (from a DB9) and mounts in a housing, that bolts directly to the rear of the block.

Each unit is manufactured in the UK using modern casting patterns and techniques, backed up by aircraft-grade quality assurance from a leading foundry.

Every cylinder head is CNC machined to exact tolerances and double vacuum impreg-sealed—a true belt-and-braces approach to long-term reliability. Whether you're restoring a classic Aston to concours condition or upgrading a weekend driver, these heads deliver both authenticity and assurance.

Choose from retail or trade configurations, with options to receive your head fully assembled and ready to fit or as a bare, machined casting. Suitable for both S.U. and Vantage/Weber carburettor applications, these heads are engineered to match your exact setup.

This exciting new project features a racing pedigree DB2 which is currently being rebuilt to Hutson Engineering’s fast road specification, utilising the main engine components for originality.

This particular rebuild also includes some internal modifications and an array of uprated and re-engineered enhancements to improve performance. These modifications and enhancements also increase durability and longevity.

We've Launched Our Official YouTube Channel!

We're excited to announce the launch of our official YouTube channel – a new way for us to share what we do here at Hutson Engineering with enthusiasts, clients, and fellow petrolheads around the world.

On the channel, we’ll be posting regular updates that take you behind the scenes of our workshop. From intricate Aston Martin and Lagonda engine rebuilds to detailed insights into our restoration processes, it’s a chance to see the craftsmanship and care that goes into every project we take on.

We have a small quantity, of genuine O/E, factory supplied, Aston Martin DB4 GT Cylinder Heads available from stock.

The heads are the latest Granger & Worrel type, cast using modern patterns and casting techniques. There have been some improvements made over the original type, inclusive of a larger fire ring face for 4.2L Bores, billet cam caps.

The heads can be supplied as castings, or we can carry out the required engineering to the desired specification.

Testament to the work undertaken here at Hutson Engineering Services, this DB2/4 has taken part in the gruelling Coppa delle Alpi Rally just weeks after we delivered the restored engine to it's owner.

Although driven vigorously throughout the race, the Aston martin DB2/4 remained competitive at all times and the rally was proclaimed a great success by its owner.
