This racing pedigree DB2 is currently being rebuilt to Hutson Engineering’s fast road specification, utilising the main engine components for originality.
This particular rebuild also includes some internal modifications and an array of uprated and re-engineered enhancements to improve performance. These modifications and enhancements also increase durability and longevity.
The VB6/B 2.6L engine remains at 2.6L capacity and features a strengthened bottom-end assembly, block bracing, forged pistons and connecting rods, and a lightweight race flywheel with tuned TV damper. The latter enables safe, sustained increased RPM, along with improved oil passages and an increased capacity oil pump providing optimised oil delivery to the vital areas.
The cylinder head has benefited from improved inlet and exhaust ports, uprated valve springs, lightweight camshaft followers, and larger inlet and exhaust valves actuated by a pair of new DB3/S camshafts.
