The formidable V8 Vantage Le Mans represents the ultimate evolution of the already mighty 550 BHP supercharged Vantage. Produced in an exceptionally limited run of just 40 cars, this ultra-rare model was created to commemorate Aston Martin’s historic 1959 Le Mans victory with the legendary DBR1.
We are genuinely thrilled to have the privilege of working on one of these extraordinarily scarce engines. Now entrusted to Hutson Engineering Services, the V600 power unit is undergoing a complete and meticulous rebuild. Our uncompromising attention to detail and commitment to originality will ensure that every aspect of the engine is sympathetically restored. Wear components will be renewed, internal parts machined to exacting tolerances, and all original external features preserved to maintain its authentic appearance.
This is not the first time we have encountered a supercharged Vantage engine suffering from leaking liner seals. The rubber "O" rings break down, often beginning with a minor weep before progressing to complete failure. In this instance, inspection revealed that the original rubber had deteriorated entirely.
We look forward to bringing this exceptional and incredibly rare V600 engine back to its full, awe-inspiring glory.
